Moments

 Once your thoughts have quieted and you have turned within, feeling the utter joy of being one with the universe. You come to rest in the beauty of the moment. One with everything.

I had a dream in 2001 while living on Vashon Island in Washington state. Which mirrors what I was speaking of in the above paragraph.

I see an Indian he has on blue jeans a long sleeved shirt, his hair was tied back with a bandanna tied around his forehead. He was stocky in his build, His face was round and weathered. The area where he stood was vast and light and dry like the prairie, He reached out grasping my forearm and I in 

turn grasp his. As our arms locked I was pulled closer to him. The area where we are now standing is dark like a cave. He pulls me into him and raps me round with a blanket he is wearing, as he is doing this our physical bodies meld into one. As this happens the energy in the minds eye is a backward andinward turning motion. I am very much aware of my own being, as an identity. At the same time I am very much aware of the meld ofanother identity they are one yet two. As I focus on his essence, his being, his identity I see we are distinct. And yet at the same time we are of the same essence, life force and energy and this we share. We are of one body and two distinct minds. As we view each other, we start to play in the shier joy of our existence. I am totally aware of him and he is totally aware of me. Everything is shared, nothing is felt as separate or distinct, we share all. It is as if our energies flowed out of our bodies upon our breath. Once outside we see we are of the same nature and stand and walk upon the same ground we rejoiced.  As we focus outside of our selves to view the path upon which we walk. We see we are of the same essence as the universe and merge with it, our energy mixes with the all of the universe. ln delight and awe the energy starts swirling and spiraling up to the heavens themselves. Moving in a circle with the heavens and stars. We are of one with the universe now we are of the same state and essence no separation.We and the universe are one.

In the following quote from Plotinus he explains how you can attain this state of mind yourself. Plotinus in Intelligible Beauty V8,11,5. Taylor translates: 

“But if any one of us who is not able to proceed himself entirely comprehended by this Divinity should produce a spectacle into his view for the purpose of assisting his vision, he should  produce himself; and he will then perceive an image of the Intelligible World, now become more  beautiful and divine. But afterwards neglecting the image although beautiful, and conspiring with himself into one, and no longer separating his essence, he will become one altogether with that Deity, Who silently flows into his soul; and he will be present with him as far as he is able, and  as much as he desires. But if he should return from this divine union into two, and is in the  meantime pure, he will nevertheless dwell proximate to its essence; so that by conversion he  may again be present and become united with his Divinity. But the gain of soul will consist in this  ineffable conversion. Indeed, when it first attempts this union, it perceives itself, as long as it is different from the God: but when it has penetrated into its most intimate recesses, it will then find itself in possession of the Intelligible Universe; and casting sense behind, fearing lest it should become different, it will be one with this Divine World.”
